petals and piping

Tumblr_lystnmXYUq1qlrnsxo1_500

Jessakka, of Sport and Knife, sent us a link to her pipe shevling project which includes using our Petal Pusher by Oh Joy in gold. Read the full story here. We think it turned out so beautifully!!! Jessakka noted that "we originally painted the back wall yellow and were going to put up the shelves, and then I hemmed and hawed and finally caved in and bought the wallpaper. My boyfriend had to paint the wall back to the original white, and then help me put it up. He was not too happy during the process... but agrees it looks MUCH better this way!" We think it was definitely worth it too! It is always such a treat to see the way people incorporate our wallpapers into their interiors!

wall party

IMG_0362

I went to a pretty fabulous party for the unveiling of my friend Casey O'Connel's amazing wall mural on Friday night. Isn't it amazing?! (She made these plates for us a few years ago for our launch, if you're looking for something a bit smaller...).

The map of San Franciso is morphed into a dress and goes down the stairs.

Love the windows.

Leggy. Congratulations, Casey!

gourmet petals

Photo copy

There are honestly not very many things that Christiana and I like better than getting photos of our wallpaper in our customers' homes and these are particularly amazing. Black and white Petal Pusher in a gorgeous gourmet kitchen - need I say more?

I have serious kitchen envy now - that island is to die for. Can't you just see yourself making perfect pastries on that marble surface? Thank you so much, Dana, for sharing these images with us!

nethercote in adore

Ummm, so how pretty is our Nethecote wallpaper in this lovely room in Adore Magazine?  Not to create an unnecessary sense of urgency, but we only have two rolls left! Luckily they are on sale.

The Bachelor Farmer

IMG_0271

Aimee and I took a company field trip to The Bachelor Farmer last night. It had to be done because first of all the food is so, so very delicious.

IMG_0272

We also wanted to check out the decor which included our Nethercote wallpaper in one of the party rooms upstairs. Party on, pretty wallpaper! Sorry my iphone pictures aren't quite as fabulous as the decor...

IMG_0274

Speaking of wallpaper, how incredible is this? This gives quilted walls a new meaning. Wait, did quilted walls ever have a meaning? Well, if not, now they do! LOVE.

IMG_0275

Also a big fan of the modern lighting mixed with the classic crocheted quilts.

Till next time, Nethercote!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

stripes and stones

6a00d8341c6a0853ef014e8b7f7286970d-800wi

It was really fun to share a couple of my very favorite striped things on Oh Joy yesterday. (Read more here - Thank you Joy and Bri!) I'll bet you are wondering where that fabulous wallpaper is from? Look no further than Oh Joy herself along with H&W truly...

IMG_1136

Which reminds me...  maybe you'd like to see the Stone's Throw Away wallpapering step by step, yes?

1. Put on some sweat pants preferably with complementary sweat jacket, assuming you haven't been wearing sweats already in which case you're already done with step 1, so easy!

IMG_1137

2. Measure your gorgeous wallpaper so you know where to start hanging it.

IMG_1138

3. Measure out 1 inch less than your wallpaper from the corner wall and 4. draw a vertical line from that point so that you can line up your first wallpaper strip with it.

IMG_1139

5. You guessed it! Line up your first wallpaper strip with the line you just drew (after you apply some paste to the wall).

IMG_1140

6. Keep pasting, smoothing and hugging the seams.

IMG_1141

7. Take a break for some gummy cola bottles, unless your subpar Walgreens on the corner is out of those in which case you'll need to settle for some cinnamon bears. 7a. I like mine frozen, because they last longer between bites - this is totally optional.

IMG_1142

8. Keep going, you are almost done! Around this point Pandora might ask you if you are still listening. Answer yes. This last strip is critical and music will help push you through!

IMG_0121

9. When you're done, you deserve something special. If you're lucky, like me, your favorite taqueria will be located next door to a place where you can pick up a tasty beverage with an ATM between. Now that is just geography. Or maybe you plan in advance and have things in stock to celebrate your wallpapering feat? Regardless, you deserve a cocktail and some chips and salsa at the very least.

IMG_1143

When you get back home with said fiesta supplies, quickly move your furniture back in to place, snap a picture for posterity and enjoy!

hygge nooks

Check out this cute article in Desert Living about wallpaper solutions for nooks!  Few places are more hygge than a cozy nook, so it only makes sense they'd need some wallpaper love...  Thanks, Tierra!
