Since seeing Jiro Dreams of Sushi, I've been trying to foster a slightly different approach to my wallpaper "career." Wallpaper should be considered an art form after all! Last weekend, I was challenged by some really tall walls. I can't say channeling Jiro necessarily worked. It mostly just made me hungry.
Petal Pusher in the house!
To begin, I measured the wall height. And then took a short break to admire where I'd be grabbing lunch.
Next, was a little wall prep - sand down a few bumps, wipe the dust off...
Measure and cut the wallpaper.
Paste it and book it. (Yes, a more Jiro super pro would probably have a wallpapering table, but I'm not really there yet... plus, plastic and painter's tape work just fine!)
First strip is up! Which is about the time I stopped remembering to take photos...
Almost done with the first wall. Time for a sandwich.
I'm heading back today to finish up, so hopefully I'll be able to post some after pictures tomorrow!
