Guess what I did this weekend?

You can't? :) Well, I helped my friend Rachel at Eden & Eden put up our beautiful Forest Leaves wallpaper in her lovely shop in Jackson Square! My favorite shop deserves my favorite wallpaper after all... Above is the before. A striking red, but still...it was time for a change!
First strip up. That's always the toughest, and it was actually pretty easy. Should be smooth sailing ahead. right? Mostly...
Making progress...
Working around the corner. There are different schools of thought on how best to wallpaper around a corner. My thought was to do it as fast as possible. Perfection is overrated ;)
We ended the wallpaper where it met the gray paint Rachel had "dip dyed" earlier. So, being more creative, she stepped back in to figure out the best way make the edges match. This involved distressing the edge of the paper with matches and sand paper while I go to find a sandwich :)
Fast forward to today when I stopped back in. Doesn't it look fabulous?!?!
Here's a picture of three of my favorite things. I have both the wallpaper and the small lamp in my apt, and since seeing that equally awesome bag, I've been brainstorming to come up with a reason that I deserve to own it... [Technical side note, in an ideal world, it would have been better to paint the floor board prior to wallpapering, just FYI...]
Here's where distressed meets dip dyed... Pretty cool, no?
Does this close-up of gorgeousness overwhelm you? Me too.
See you later!
