let's go fly a kite

One of the things that I love about Minnesotans is that they are one hardy group of people - i.e. this weekend's Lake Harriet Kite Festival. First, this is taking place on the surface of a frozen lake, and second, it was maybe 10 degrees out. Not ideal kite flying conditions as noted by Christiana who said the last time she'd seen kites was on a beach. But we were all still out there having a great time!
