My sister lives in Dublin, Ireland, and I went to visit her this past December. I thought Dublin was a very hygge town - with lots of charm and old architecture. It was especially beautiful that time of year with Christmas lights all over the city.
I was looking through the pictures from the trip and I just love the lamps I spotted at a Mexican restaurant, Acapulco, we ate at my first night there. They very much remind me of the wallpaper luminarias from Aimee’s post a little while back. Each lamp has an intricate pattern for the light to shine through - so beautiful. The entire restaurant was decorated with art and hand-made furniture (check out the chairs in the picture above!) and bathed in a golden glow - perfect place to be when its dark and snowy outside.
Here is a close-up of the lamps (ruined a little bit by all the electric).
And here, a better bird’s eye view picture of the restaurant via Acapulco’s website.
On a separate note, I thought it was really funny that on the menu they had a section “American Favorites”!
